Off the coast of St. Peter-Ording lies an impressively large sandbank. This unique landscape makes it possible to discover the ‘gold of the North Sea’ after a storm or high tide: amber!
Together with Holger from Naturerlebnis SPO, you’ll set off on a tour lasting around two hours, during which I’ll show you the best spots to find amber and explain what to look out for so you can find some yourselves. You’ll learn how amber is formed, why it washes ashore so frequently here in particular, and what tricks real amber hunters use.
It’s an exciting experience for young and old alike – an adventure that will delight the whole family and, with a bit of luck, you’ll take home your very own amber treasure!
