When winter slowly lets go, it gets really warm in St. Peter-Ording:
During the Biikebrennen, large fires blaze along the beach, heralding one of the oldest North Frisian traditions.
The gathering around the fire, the crackling of the flames and the special atmosphere between the dunes, the sea and the winter air make this evening a real goosebump moment every year. A ritual that bids farewell to winter and symbolically makes room for spring - raw, honest and deeply rooted in the north.
📍 Where: Beach areas in St. Peter-Ording
