We are not perfect - but together we make a difference!
We admit it openly: A hotel without using resources? That doesn't exist. We at Beach Motel SPO also rely on water, electricity and cleaning products to ensure you have a pleasant stay. But we are convinced that many small steps together can make a big difference.
That's why we adjusted our cleaning service on 1 April. This means that we will no longer automatically clean your room every day, but every 2 days - unless you request it. Of course, you can still request fresh towels or a clean, depending on your preference.
Our figures from 2024 show that this small measure has a real impact. 591 cleanings per month were saved on average thanks to the reduced room cleaning - and thus:
💧 6,501 litres of water - the equivalent of around 43 full bathtubs
⚡ 29.55 kWh of electricity - enough to light an LED lamp every day for two years
🫧 76,830 ml of cleaning agent - fewer chemicals for a healthier environment
And what does that mean for you?
Every time you don't clean your room, you're already saving:
💧 11 litres of water - enough for a quick shower
⚡ 0.05 kWh of electricity - the equivalent of approx. 10 minutes of room lighting
🫧 130ml of cleaning agent - less chemicals in the waste water
That may not sound like much - but if we extrapolate it to the whole year, it adds up to an enormous amount. And the best thing about it? You don't do without anything!
